From October 23rd to 25th, 2025, the 27th China International Mining Conference was successfully held at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center. Centered around the theme “Interconnection and Collaboration for Shared Benefits,” this year’s exhibition reached a record scale, attracting over 500 companies and more than 10,000 professionals from 42 countries worldwide.
Event Overview
The conference covered an impressive 55,000 square meters, utilizing all exhibition halls for the first time. It featured over 40 forums and national promotion sessions, bringing together mining officials, ambassadors, and industry leaders from 24 countries, including Saudi Arabia, for in-depth discussions on cooperation across the entire mining industry chain.
Key Highlights and Achievements
Resource Exploration
The Ministry of Natural Resources released the China Mineral Resources Report (2025), showing that in 2024, national geological exploration investment reached 115.994 billion yuan, with 150 new mineral deposits discovered and significant growth in strategic mineral reserves.
Project Cooperation
Tianjin North China Geological Exploration Bureau and other organizations signed cooperation agreements totaling 400 million yuan, covering areas such as resource exploration, green mine construction, and industry-finance collaboration, promoting diversified partnerships across the sector.
Innovation and Development
Mining Rights Marketization Reform
For the first time, a Mining Rights Transfer Market was established, publicly showcasing 200 projects worldwide. The introduction of a “post-verification” mechanism further enhanced transaction transparency and efficiency.
Technology Application
A Smart Mine Scenario Demonstration Area and New Energy Mining Charging & Swapping Zone were newly added, showcasing cutting-edge technologies such as autonomous mining vehicles, intelligent monitoring platforms, and digitalized control systems.
International Cooperation
Xu Dachun, Vice Minister of Natural Resources, emphasized the importance of building an innovative ecosystem, sharing development outcomes, and creating an open cooperation pattern. Representatives from South Africa, Chile, Uzbekistan, and other countries participated, while targeted invitations were extended to South American and African purchasing delegations to deepen cross-border collaboration.
