Slurry Pump Seal Washer

Slurry pump inlet and outlet gaskets are static sealing components for pump body flanges and serve as the fundamental seals preventing air, slurry, and water leakage. Installed at the connections of the pump's inlet and outlet flanges, they bridge the gap between the piping and the pump body, ensuring the unit's overall sealing integrity and operational stability. These are essential, frequently replaced small parts for the routine maintenance and assembly of slurry pumps.

Product Classification and Installation Locations

1. Inlet Gasket (Suction Gasket)

Installed between the slurry pump's suction flange and the inlet pipeline.

Core Function: Maintaining negative pressure and preventing air intake.

The inlet end operates under negative pressure for material suction; if the inlet gasket seal fails, air is drawn in, leading to pump cavitation (air binding), failure to prime, insufficient flow, excessive vibration, and cavitation noise, all of which directly impact the pump's efficiency.

2. Outlet Gasket (Discharge Gasket)

Installed between the slurry pump's discharge flange and the outlet pipeline.

Core Function: Preventing high-pressure slurry leakage and water seepage.

The pump outlet operates under high-pressure discharge conditions with significant medium impact force. The outlet gasket primarily withstands this high pressure, preventing slurry leakage, spraying, or seepage, thereby protecting the site environment and maintaining pipeline pressure stability.

Product Structural Features

1. Integrated Annular Flange Structure

Features standard flange bolt-hole dimensions and fits the universal flange configurations of AH, ZJ, ZGB, HH, and desulfurization pump series. It offers high flatness and uniform stress distribution, ensuring a flush fit during installation without edge curling or gaps.

2. High-Elasticity Cushioning Seal

The material possesses high resilience and toughness, allowing it to compensate for minor wear or deformation gaps on flange faces. It is resistant to high temperatures and compression, does not harden or become brittle, and maintains sealing performance even under long-term high-pressure and high-vibration operating conditions. 3. Vibration damping, noise reduction, and pipeline stabilization

Cushions vibrations generated by pump operation, reduces wear caused by rigid pipe contact, lowers overall operating noise, and extends the service life of pipelines and flanges.

4. Standardized specifications and easy replacement

Dimensions across the entire model range align with OEM standards; no grinding or modifications are required—simply swap them out. Ideal for bulk stocking and rapid after-sales maintenance.

Common Materials (Selectable based on needs)

1. Nitrile/High-elasticity rubber (Standard best-seller)

Wear-resistant, water-resistant, and durable against mild abrasion; suitable for mine tailings, coal washing, and general sand/gravel slurries. Offers the best cost-performance ratio and versatility.

2. Polyurethane (High-abrasion conditions)

Features superior wear, tear, and erosion resistance; suitable for transporting heavy slurries with high particle content and concentration. Service life is several times that of standard rubber.

3. Fluoroelastomer/PTFE (Corrosive conditions)

Resistant to acids, alkalis, and chemical corrosion; suitable for power plant desulfurization, chemical wastewater, and corrosive waste liquid transport.

IV. Key Functional Advantages

1. Eliminates air intake/leakage; ensures stable suction

The inlet gasket tightly seals the negative-pressure chamber, preventing air-locking issues and completely resolving faults such as failure to prime, fluctuating flow rates, and vibration during dry running.

2. Withstands high pressure; prevents slurry leakage

The outlet gasket offers high pressure resistance, suiting high-pressure discharge conditions. It prevents slurry spraying or fluid leakage at flange joints, keeping the workspace clean and maintaining stable pipeline head pressure.

3. Aging-resistant and long-lasting

Resistant to high temperatures and chemical corrosion; resists aging and cracking. Reliable during continuous 24-hour industrial operation, significantly reducing the frequency of replacements.

4. Lowers overall equipment failure rate

This small gasket directly determines flow rate, pressure, cavitation, and vibration levels, serving as a critical component for ensuring the stable operation of the entire production line.
